I Fished Lake Tapps from 6:00am -9:00am. Caught 1small rock bass and 11 smallmouth bass. The largest smallie was 14" and 2lbs on my little spring scale, but the majority of them were in the 11" to 12" range. These little smallies put on quite a show complete with jumps and deep dives under the boat. All fish were caught using T-rigged 3" and 4" weightless senkos of various colors and then released. Lots of skiers were on the lake later in the morning and quite a few other anglers were out there as well. I saw some hot air balloons rising to the east, the mountain was out to the south, and I saw a pair of bald eagles perched on a dead tree to the west. Another great day on Tapps.
Thank you Bill G for the great topo map of this lake!
