The kid's were swimming and I was fishing. Weather was nice and hot. First time to this nice lake. Caught numerous 6" little guys, then on a particular cast, the was a 'real' hit before the bait hit bottom, a nice 12" rainbow. Kids had fun catching the six inchers, but it would be nice if they'd leave the bait alone long enough for the big brother to find it. The only bummer the entire weekend was the boat with 4 grown men who had to stop directly in front of my kids who couldn't cast with crossing their lines or hitting them. if the kids weren't there I'd have cast directly over the boat and snagged their lines then cut 'em.

Let the kid's fish, we had to move to continue on, even after the obviously loud explanation to my daughter on why she couldn't cast.
