My 11 yo boy and I hit the lake at about 3 PM. Played around with some small bluegill and a ton of really small Bass off the pier. Then we put the canoe in and went for the big ones. Fished with worms and couldn't keep it in the water long enough for some big ones to take it. Tons of really little bass and bluegills. Kept a few decent size Bluegills just for a good appetizer for dinner. Boy were they tasty! Fished till dark - saw several Bass in the 3-6 lb range but couldn't get them to hit. Next day the same - all small - but steady action. Fished the Lilly pads to the right and across the lake from the pier, 3 - 4 ft water. If you are taking a young kid fishing this is the place to go. Non stop action. Water was crystal clear - put a pair of polarized glasses on them and see how many times they say Dad - Dad!!! Nothing like watching a kid - watching the fish swim around and eating their worm. They really get excited when a 3 pound-er pulls up and takes a look. Got my heart pounding pretty good too !!! It was a great time - to actually watch how the fish react to and take bait. Tight Lines - Yippiee
