I went to the lake early to be there for the sunrise. Got there at around 4:45am. Packed my pontoon in on the trail got it setup and was on the water by 5:15am and left around 12 noon. This is a great lake it is clean and quiet I was the only one there. It was a little on the cold side until the sun came over the trees. The water is extremely clear you can see the bottom in 10-12ft of water. Started out with a worm going for LMB got one little dink close to the shore line. Then I noticed some fish rising in deeper water. I switched to a rat-l-trap and cast to the rises. Ran it fast and close to the surface. Bang I got a fish to hit. It was a SMB in the 1lb range. It looked like they were feeding on some kind of fly of the surface. I continued to fish the rises and landed a fish each time. Worked my way to the north end of the lake were it shallows out and fished the edge of the deeper water about 10-12 feet. Got into some decent SMB again. Still in the 1lb range. These fish were fun they hit hard and had a lot of fight in them. Had about 15 fish on the line and landed 10. Also worked the docks and lily pads for LMB with a worm Texas rigged with only a few bits from really small fish. Got some pics of the bigger ones but it is with a cell so they are not that good. It was a beautiful day and I love just being on the water. Catching fish is an extra bonus! Happy hooking and tight lines!
