Wooohooo! I finally got some LM action! I managed to find a few decent LM's near one of the private docks using a grn. pumpkin grub rigged like a worm. I didn't manage to get any of them in the darn boat since I made two rookie mistakes: 1.) I didn't wear the fish out and 2.) I didn't bring a net.... The biggest one was roughly 12-13" and could easily swallow a tennis ball. I'll definitely come prepared next time and start putting a camera in my bag.

Not much boat action out there this evening and the only real activity around the water was a wedding that ended on the waterfront. I felt kinda bad about undoubtedly ending up in their wedding photos...

ESRN - Most bass anglers never use a net. Bass have no teeth and can easily be jaw landed, especially those little guys under 3 pounds. I do get a bit nervous when trying to jaw land a 6 pounder with three treble hooks in his mouth. I paid a price doing that a couple of times. Once having to have a doctor cut out two prongs of a treble hook.

I guess I need to set the hook better and wear the guy out prior to landing him... I see the pro's on TV use the jaw method, I just haven't gotten used to idea or had much practice with it. Thank you for the pointer, I will definitely be ready to try it next time.
