Fished from bank area along rip rap near Tum Tum. Arrived around 8pm. Was throwing a Rapala DT 14 in a perch pattern. Had schools of baby bass following it on every cast. Got a hit, set the hook, and my line started screaming. I thought for sure I had a massive bass. I was waiting to see the fish break the surface, but it never did. Then I thought squaw, and I was right. Biggest fish I've ever caught. No scale or tape measure, but I would say she was 24/25 inches and would have weighed eight plus, super fat, and still fun to catch. When the sun started to go down I switched to a sub surface wake bait made by Xcalibur. Third cast it got smacked pretty hard, and this fish took flight. Nice 15/16 inch smallie to end the night.
