Took brother out for a day of trout fishing. We pulled half worms tipped with single gulp eggs behind the boat. Just circled the lake at lowest speed on the trolling motor. We limited in about two hours and got some nice surprises. Two rainbows were 14 inches. Paul caught one cutthroat just over a foot. I had no idea there were any in the lake. The rest of the fish were plants around 10-11 inches. We probably caught half of our strikes. It was either drizzling or pouring the entire time, which probably helped the bite. One other boat was out. He was fishing for largemouths and said he was getting some bites around docks and weeds. One bank fisherman gave up after getting soaked. This lake is usually slow in the summer, but the wet and chilly conditions probably helped. Tight lines!
