Water temperature was near 55 degrees. It rained some the first two days with southerly winds in the morning to afternoon followed by northerly winds in the evening. The smallmouth bass ranged from eight to 12 inches and fought well for their size. They were easily located near the shoreline protecting their reds. Almost every cast netted one of these aggressive fish. The brook trout were 12 to 17 inches in size and were lured to the hook by fishing off of the bottom (15 to 20 feet down) in the shoals. I caught only one kokanee. All my fish were caught with sealbuggers and Prince nymphs. I attempted to fish at nearby Lost Lake but there was no vacancy at any of the campsites.
