Got on the lake about 7pm and anchored in 25 ft of water, fished the bottom w/worms and anise oil. I had done well this way here for trout so I was surprised when my wife started pulling in nice sized perch. We fished till 9 and went home with 3 trout and 17 perch. I had read that perch school by size and it seemed to be true for us. We would get several nice fish in a row as quick as we put our bait down then nothing for awhile. Then a bunch of small ones we would throw back. It was on and off like that. The water felt warm, don't know the temp. Had a great time even with the skiers pushing the no wake zone.
