My family and I decided on clear lake to fish for the day. We heard rumors that it had been stocked the weekend before. It was very hot and the wind was a wonderful thing. We started fishing about 2pm. Much to early in my opinion but my kids wanted their poles in the water. Fishing is usually great here but not today. No one was catching fish on the north side in this little cove with free camping. Very nice location, and the plus is that it is still a NO FEE area. If you can over look all the garbage left by lazy jerks it really is a beautiful part of the lake. We have always caught fish here but today just wasn't our day. We tried everything, worms, power bait, power bait marshmallows, eggs, and maggots. They just didn't want anything we were offering. We plan on going back up on Sunday and hopefully it will be better fishing! I seen that Bi-Mart had power bait corn. I think we might get some and try that. If anyone has any suggestions about what bait to use on Clear Lake I would be delighted! Good Luck fishing to you all!
