I had only about 1.5 hours tonight, but I hit Bitter lake since it's 5 minutes from the house. I must say I had a blast of a time. 5 months ago when I fished this lake it was full of 5" smallies. Now I can't really believe that they all doubled in size?? But tonight it was one after the other of 10-11" smallies. Almost every cast yielded multiple strikes to my yamamoto senkos and grubs. Colors were dark green I think, but I am color blind so lets just say darker colors. LOL
I was drop shotting, and just dragging a Texas rigged senko along the way. If you go, start on the far side of the lake from the park about where the lilies are and work your way down, the farther you go down the better it is. A couple of other things, nobody fishes this lake except for 1-2 bait fishers from shore, and that's like on a Saturday. I've never seen a boat out here, there is no launch but you could carry something out.

So far I have only caught fish in the 11" range. some folks on the list who have fished it in the past say there are def. larger fish. I will hammer this lake for awhile since it's only 5 minutes from the house. I'll pass it on if anything of larger size come along
