8/29/2007 8:24:00 PMtry looking up whats called a drop shot. Im a fellow newby and have had very good luck. very easy to learn the technique. I would suggest going to a place called three rivers marina and asking the bass pro on how to rig it if your confused. also (and i dont tell this to just anyone) get "robo worms" nutural color. with some dark greens and purples. toss that in the water, and watch your line take off. Drop shot is a great way to learn the ways of the bass. drop shot is more of a finese fishing style. but it is still easier to do than crank baits and what not. if you have any questions post a comment on here and check it. just toss the drop shot in the water and if there are any fish by it they will hit befopre the line hits the bottom. if they dont hit by the time it hits the ground then just let it sit for about 30 secoinds, give it a quick but ever so slight jiggle and if they dont take it by then reel in and cast again. it works best for smallies but i have also had great luck with the LMB too. remember ROBO WORMS! good luck and tight lines
