I had a great opportunity to fish with the "MAN". Jack Tipping. WDFW retired. Jack's the man that got the tiger musky program started in WA. After speaking at our Chapter meeting Thursday evening, we made plans to take a little tour of Lk Tapps.
To say the least we had a ball. The guy's got a sense of humor and spending the day in the boat with him was nothing short of spectacular. He's also a heck of a musky fisherman. I learned a lot today. He's got some years of experience behind him and was not selfish in sharing knowledge.
By about 8am Jack released a nice 41"x 19". An hour later he got a fat, healthy 44 in a figure 8 or maybe it was a figure 9 but who cares. About an hour later he felt sorry for me and allowed me to catch a 43 1/2" x 19".
Heck of a day spent with a heck of a guy.
