8/20/2007 9:31:00 PMI did release him. I was so nervouse I was going to hurt him ,that's why I didn't get any good pictures.But thats ok I released him unharmed and he swam away right away.

8/21/2007 2:28:00 AMok, i have to tell all u ppl, that theres no way that bass is anything over 5lbs, to prove it! Go to lake index and check all the bass that DAVE NEWBY caught. His 6lbs definitely top that fish. Im sorry ppl, but this guy is a liar. For those who believe it, good luck fishing! and for those who are smart enough to believe me, Tite lines!

8/21/2007 9:40:00 AMI can not believe how incredibly rude "the1fishingpro" is. Maybe Brian F. has a bad scale or maybe from the sketchy picture you really cannot get a good perspective of the size of the fish, but there is no need to be so harsh. I say "Good on ya, Brian." I do not have a boat and so when I fish Lakamas I fish from the boat launch dock right there where you caught your 10#+ bass. There is a hole right off the dock that you can see on Google Maps and I caught a nice small-mouth bass there last September. Thanks for sharing Brian...Sore Lip Em All

8/21/2007 2:10:00 PMGive him the benefit of the doubt. It is a nice fish and like so many of us know, a photo doesn't always do it justice. I am happy for him. It's a great catch especially from the shore. PLUS, he did the right thing... he let her go. Brian F., you are welcome to fish with me anytime.

8/21/2007 2:37:00 PMim not saying that Brian F, is a bad fisherman, just that he cant tell a 5lber from a 10lber thats all. It is nice that he let her go tho, rite on for that! oh by the way, there are no smallmouth in lacamas! they have never planted any and if some1 decided to throw some in, i doubt they could have survived. Largemouths change there color to blend in with there environment, so if a bass looks like a smallie, its just a largemouth that has changed its color to match the scenery.

8/21/2007 11:07:00 PMi secound that because i have never even seen a smallmouth caught out of lacamas EVER so i am sure uneducated or misinformed fisherman have cuahgt what they thought was a smallmouth but was infact a largemouth bass. i am not saying smallmouth have never lived there but if they have then they are long gone now

8/22/2007 2:08:00 AMthat thing was not 10 pounds but it was pretty damn huge, if i ever caught a bass that size i'd be really proud of myself too so good job Brian F. also im gonna third the smallmouth thing because i have confused fall time largemouths with smallies before its not a big deal.

8/22/2007 7:20:00 PMIn my opinion I think that this bass is atleast 7 pounds so either a 7 pound or a 10 pound it doesnt matter that is a super awesome bass =) I hope I can hook in to one like that someday. nice catch brian. Did it give you a good fight? I caught a 4 pound 4oz bass and it gave me a pretty good fight but I expected better. ~Good luck fishing~

8/23/2007 12:14:00 AMHowdy all. Im Brian's steelhead fishing buddy. He told me about his bass and I didnt even question it. We catch steelhead all summer and they average 7 to 9 lbs. We can usually guess within a pound or two (verified with a digital scale afterwards) and he told me that bass weighed 10 lbs.!! So, figuring that those scales arent perfect, that bass was at least 8 lbs., but most likely a 10 pounder. I've known Brian for years. He doesn't make up fish stories, unless he says he catches more steelhead than me. That would be a lie. Oh, hi Brian. LOL
