BOY DID IT RAIN, my fishin buddy an I spent the best $20 bucks of our lives on rain gear at the start of this season, and every cent was worth it today.

We got on the lake at about 6:45 and by 9 am I was willing to throw in the very wet towel. Ronnie convinced me to head to the other side of the lake for a bit and it was worth it. We got into a bunch of small mouth, and some perch. Not paying attention to my line as I ate my sandwich I noticed that I couldn't keep the line taunt, then out of nowhere my rod doubled over and the fight began. Pulled in quite possibly the biggest Smallie I have ever caught. Prompting my buddy to remind me to purchase a scale. Left the lake about 4:30 being rewarded for a long day from the fish gods. I have pictures but no clue how to submit them. I am 6 foot 8 and the fish went from the neck to my waist.
