Hit Bead lake with the NEW boat, well new to me. The mutts and I hit the water about 8:30 AM, buzzed out to the middle of the lake and dropped a large jig baited with worms to the bottom for some lakers, jigged for about an hour with no action. Then we tried a few of the coves and switched to a smaller jig with corn in shallower water hoping for a kokanee, no luck. By this time the wind was starting to pick up so the dogs and I left at about noon. If my prayers are answered next month I will get a fish finder for my birthday and then I will try Bead again, hopefully the launch will still be open.
