Somehow I have never fished Potholes, not sure why but I wanted to give it a try. Caught a few perch and some small, small mouth in Lind Coulee. The fish finder showed tons of fish in 38-44 ft of water in Lind, likely Walleye. Water temps varied from 69 to 72 degrees. Fished the face of the damn. My five year old bounced night cralwers off the rocks with a barbless hook an caught about 20 smallmouth, most in the 3/4 to 1 pound size. Between baiting and retieing hooks I fly casted the largest Price and Zugbugs I had and caught similar sized smallmouth. A lot of fun on a fly rod, although they are "small" to bass regulars. We beached the boat in lind coulee for lunch. I was amazed and discussed with the amount of trash on the beaches.
