Hadn't been out in awhile so hit the big lake for the evening bite 8/28/07. Had my buddy Says & Dan meet me at the E Mercer Island launch. Headed up north to our new spot and sure enough Says puts it right by the dock drop shotting a kut tail worm and a 3.10oz SM slams his bait. Good thing he had his drag loose cuz the smallie was barely hooked. About an hour later I boated a 2.10oz SM that when I set the hook I thought it was a small perch. This fish was ripping line like he was a 5lb fish. We caught other small fish and also perch. Good night on the water to watch the full moon come up. Until next time! Tight lines everyone and have a safe labor day weekend.

Sorry for the late report.

hey me and my friend are begginer bass fishermen and have been using the drop shot technique. we have been using gary yamamoto 4'' white worms with black flakes. we have been fishing around docks and other areas around lake washington and have been having no luck with everything we try. all we catch are little dinks. we are desparate to catch some big bass. any tips or suggestions for us?

I would recommend using more natural colors like watermelon or green pumpkin with black flakes. Get some GY kut tail worms. Make sure to work the outside weedline in the 20+ feet range. The best advice I can give is patience and time on the water!! Good luck and tight lines!!!

Thanks for the advice. We'll try that. Ive been told that the docks on the southern tip of mercer are really good docks for bass. do you know if that is true?

The docks on the southern tip are just fine. I caught some bass off them yesterday, nothing bigger than 2 lbs.
