My brother and I decided to take our uncle (visiting from Conn.) out for a day of fishing in my brother's boat on Lake Sammamish. We started at the north end at sunrise, but found it too weedy so moved back down the west side to the "sunken forest". We were tossing a variety of lures, but switched to bouncing worms off the bottom. After catching and releasing a number of small perch our uncle (retired Air Force) hooked a nice fighting small mouth bass. Expertly removing the hook by hand, he released it to fight another day! We promptly named the piling he had cast to after him and promised that forever more we and our children and our children's children would refer to it as "Steff's Stump"! Sorry, I can't tell you which one it is... family secret!
