9/7/2007 11:50:00 PMCrank baits and spinner baits have been around for a long time from the first Shannon twin spin to the early glass eyed crankbaits. I like using the short armed spinnerbait (Stan Salon Short Arm spinnerbait) When the bass are in murky shallow water and the tandem long arm willow leaf spinner bait in weedy situations. At night or low light situations i like using a blade that makes a lot of vibration this also works well in muddy to stained water. I usually have a trailer on my spinnerbait like a curly tail pork bait (Uncle Josh Pork Bait) or a plastic trailer which matches the skirt color or close too. Also i use a use a trailer hook on my spinner baits for a lot of fish short strike and this helps to hook these fish. I use 17 pound line on spinnerbaits and 10 to 12 pound on crank baits depends on water clarity. Basspro.com has a good selection of lures in this style of bass fishing lures and you can't go wrong with Strike King Spinnerbaits and Bandit brand crankbaits. Hope i haven't loaded you with too much info on lures of this style but try these and i think you'll be on your way to catching that trophy of a life time.
