Conconully Reservoir was a HUGE success on opening day. The Department of Fish and Wildlife along with the Conconully Chamber and the Town of Conconully planted 11,300 fish in the reservoir ranging in size from one half pound to five pounds. Fishermen were limiting out in about an hour either off the dock and bank or from a boat trolling and still fishing. Fish were ranging in size from 1/2 pound to 5 pounds. A lot of nice 17" hold overs were being brought in along with nice size kokanee ranging in size from 12" to 17". Tucker Dana from Auburn WA brought in a nice 41/2 pounder from the dock along with Haden Bristol from Okanogan WA he bought in a nice 17" hold over. The weather was great and the fishermen were happy.
