Let me tell you, if you like to bass fish right now this lake is hot. I have not fished the lake for about 4 years until the other day. Got on the lake about 6 am and i was the only boat in the water at that time. put on a rapala and right off the bat caught one first cast. (i figured ok caught the only fish in here might as well leave lol) took a left and fished right in front of the dock, caught three more, worked the east side of the lake the most and that is where i had the best luck. I left at 11am. I had caught about 17 bass by then no big ones to report but it was still a kick in the pants. I used a 4inch black top with a silver bottom rapala. I change lures on and off but they seemed to really like that one. IF you want to try that lake I would find out if it is still open for public fishing, when i was pulling my boat out their was word that they were going to shut the launch down. (The old man that owned it, the silver lake tackle shop had died last year and his kids were fighting over the place and i guess the launch is included) hope it is still open so you guys go have as much fun as i did.
