As Ken said it is a shame that we are losing access to lakes similar to how the hunters lost forest access. It is mostly due to non-fishers such as neighborhood teenagers and meth heads that come party and trash the place. But we hold a bit of the responsibility as many fisherman leave trash and tear up the local lakes. Go check out Ohop or Kapowsin (the latter is now almost 100% posted despite peoples inability to read). Next time you fish a local lake take a trash bag and haul out a bag of trash.If we all did this we would make a huge impact in public perception of our group.

Just a footnote.......... the public access areas have been posted as closed after dusk for years so all they have to do is enforce it. Harts has signs stating so so the local landowners have the legal right to enforce it. If we had been better stewarts of the resource it wouldn't be enforced.
