Opening weekend was too easy--fun but too easy. Heard of more big fish being caught. Arrived on 6-24. Recently retired and wanted to catch a larger fish on my new 5' ultralight. (4 lb test) Success on 6-25 with a 5.12 lb trout. This was after the 4+ pounder the previous day on a 6 foot rod. A buddy's 12 year old stepson caught a 4+ pounder on his little pole as well. The dock at Liar's Cove seemed to provide the best action. Folks in boats were doing well also. Nita and Arnie at Liar's Cove are the best. Water's high and fishing is good. (Just don't overcrowd the place. Save room for my return) And if you get tired of fishing, sit back relax and watch the deer wander by and the eagles and ospreys take fish out of the lake. Life is tough.
