Well, to complete the days "tour of bass lakes" with the Wife, we ended up on little Lake Loma. What a fun little lake this is! It is also a GREAT place to take a youngster or anyone you are wishing to introduce to bass fishing! It is a very small lake that sees little pressure and has an abundance of small .5 to 1.5lb bass! The cool thing about this lake, is that due to the lack of pressure, the bass are fairly aggressive. If you throw a small buzz bait towards shore, you can see the wake of the bass as they charge your bait!! Sometimes multiple fish charge it at the same time, heck even I get a kick out of it!

You can also throw small floating Rapala's in your choice of colors, and knock em dead! The lake also has decent trout action.....

We did two laps around catching about 10 small bass (the biggest went about a pound) but the wife really gained some understanding of bass behavior, and ANY success will usually lead to the desire to go again. Next week I am going to take her to Lake Whatcom and introduce her to smallmouth bass, then time permitting jump over to Terrell, for some largies......

Good fishing to all, and try this lake if you have a small one that you want to see have some fun, or a newbie that can learn a little about the predatory nature of largemouth bass, it is guaranteed fun!
