Went out on Saturday Sept 29th for a little Perch Jerking, My son-in-law and I hit the lake about 7:30 am. We were fishing one of the local haunts in madenbower bay and did pretty good; we manage to take home 35 good ones but had to weed through a lot of little ones. We tried a few other spots but didn’t have too much luck finding the jumbo perch of 12-14 in. The water is still not quite cold enough for them to school up in the deep water. We were only catching them in 14-16 feet of water near the weed lines
All in all it was good day fishing even with the occasional sprinkle.
