A Rant

Went to Kapowsin around 1:00 p.m., normally a time of day at this time of year fishing is excellent at this Pierce County lake.

In my boat, I tried many different locations on the lake that in the past could be counted on to be sure-fire producers for many species of nice fish.

Not this time.

I tried everything from live bait to lures---hell, I even tried the bobber-n-worm thing. I didn't catch anything worth keeping; I just caught a cold (to add insult to injury the weather that day wasn't decent). There were a few other people fishing in boats out on the lake; when I inquired about their luck, I heard the same dismal litany: "Nope, nothing worth keeping..."
