Got a late start at Swofford Pond yesterday. Got to the pond around 930 am. Weather was overcast and temp was around 55F-60F, slight breeze from the SSW at about 5 mph. Started of with a 3/8 oz jig with a 3" green pumpkin woolly bug trailer. Had one serious bite, but missed the hook set. Switched to texas rigged 4" senko, minus the tree I got stuck in 3x in a row...there was no serious takers for that either. My daughter and I got bored walking the pond, so we tied on a couple of nightcrawlers and put them on the bottom. Hooked one perch about 6" long. Weather then turned and rained. Wind was blowing so hard, there were 6-8" white caps on the water. Nice to get out on the water and hang out for a few hours. Left around 430 pm.
