I went out looking for LMB and ended up with some nice trout and a couple of NICE LMB. I started out throwing a white spinnerbait working the pads and weed line. I had a extra pole with me and just put on a sinker hook and bobber and was tight line fishing for bluegill. While all of my attention was on my bass rig I hear my spare pole going crayz against the boat, I turned around and set the hook thinking it was a big bluegill or something. I was using a ultralight pole and 4lb test line, I got the fish up to my boat it was a 2lb rainbow trout, I throw it it in the cooler and did the same thing, 2 minutes later set the hook on another trout the same exact size. I reeled that pole in because I was wanting to target bass. I put a pig and jig on and worked the pads and weed line. I landed 3 one weighed 3.23 and the one went 2.16 and the other was a small little bait steeler. So needless to say it was a good day.

Jason,

Congrats on catching fish, but you might want to check the regs. Last time I looked, it was only legal to fish with one rod at a time. If there has been a change or a special rule for Rapjohn that I am not aware of...then sorry. Just wanted to give you the heads up in case you were not aware.

My buddy was in the boat supposed to be holding it but he gave it to me to run the trolling motor, so there was to of us. Thanks for the info though, I will be sure to add that in my next lake report. And yes I have proof he was the one taking the pictures for me for the contest. Once again thanks for the info though.

No problem. I did not see a mention of your buddy in the report and just wanted to make sure you were aware so you could avoid a run in with the WDFW.
