My boss is in Hawaii so I decided to leave work early and try to catch some fish at nearby Lake Meridian. I got the boat in the water at 11:30 and started trolling the center of the lake. There were a couple of people fishing off the public dock but no other boats on the water. Several small fish kept jumping around me, but nothing was biting. At about 1 PM I changed to fishing off the bottom with worms and power bait and was able to pull out three 12-13 inch Kokanee before 2 o'clock. Wish I could have stayed longer but the wind was picking up and I still hadn't eaten lunch. I'll be back this weekend if the weather gets better like they say it will.
Keep on truckin'!
