For some reason or another my last Beaver Lake report didn't post... so this is a combined report from last Sat and Sun as well as this Sat.
Last weekend had mixed results, with marginal fishing on Saturday and a banner day on Sunday in the rain. In fact as they rain intensified the bite intensified by an order of magnitude. All in all I managed to land close to twenty LM Bass and even a few unexpected Rainbows. The bass were medium sized ranging from 10-14" while the trout ranged from 12-17". Amazingly, I caught all of them on the same rig- my twin-tail grub.

This Saturday I was completely skunked. I tried literally everything I had with me; swim baits, plastics, jigs, live nightcrawlers, poppers, spinners, spoons, and top-waters! Aside from the lack of action it was an enjoyable and relaxing day on the water. Maybe the weather was just too nice to catch fish... Oh well, I'll be back next weekend.
