Arrived at Fivemile park around 9:30-10:00 am, air temperature was around 55-60F, clear and sunny. Water was slightly stained, and had small amounts of algae bloom flowing from the south end northward. Beautiful day to be on the water. First time fishing this lake, so wasn't sure what I wanted to target. Tried for some bass when I first arrived...no bites, but I did get some practice flipping various baits (jig, texas rigged and weightless hellgies, also tubes) under and around a dock and some trees. Switched to targeting trout. Tossed a rooster tail, and bluefox for a while. No takers and switched to a night crawler about three feet off the bottom and on a bobber about four feet deep. No takers on this day, this fish god's were not on my side today...will be back for more.
