Decided since my secret spot stopped producing, I'd hit Lake Stevens. I hit it today and a couple times within the last couple weeks. It's nice considering that I can dang near chuck a rock to the lake from my place. Anyhow, went out and tied on the old trusty pop gear and wedding ring.....nuttin. Hmmmm, this is the same setup I used days ago to nail four (most dinks) and a couple weeks ago boating double digits per person (most dinks). I tried numerous things before I got something to hit. Ended up with larger pop gear to get it deeper and a triploid killer 16'ish inches behind that tipped with a power egg and worm. I also cranked up the speed a couple notches on my electric troller, so who knows, it could've been the extra speed that triggered the fish. I'm probably gonna hit the lake tomorrow also, looks like it's going to be another, nice, calm and cold day. Oh yeah, the conditions were no wind, no waves, high cloud cover, but pretty bright and cold.
