Really wanted to go to Beaver today, but didn't have the time. So I went to Sawyer and got SKUNKED! It's been spotty for me at this lake, I will say this, when I do catch fish here they are decent size. This last summer I spotted a trout at least 18 inches follow my lure right to the boat, smile, tell me no thanks and swim off. I've been tryin to catch that fish for 6 months now! Anyways, trolled for a little bit with an orange wedding ring, figured on trying some wacky color, next time I'll stick with green or red. Then went to the bottom with my usual orange garlic mellows and a worm. NADA. I had to cut it short because I had my two youngest boys with me and they said it was time to go. So away we went. Nice trip, sunny sky, cold wind, idiot water skier, yes you read that right, two guys were taking turns water skiing in 40 degree weather!
Got to hit Beaver this weekend!
