1/14/2008 2:50:00 PMin lakes i fish during winter from shore such as meridian,angle,fenwick,and clark the key is distance. longer rods, lighter line,bigger egg sinker, and longer leader 4-7 feet.this time of year you catch less fish, but they all seem to be 13 - 17 inches. plus,catching 1 fish sure beats sitting home thinking about catching 5 .good luck!

1/16/2008 10:06:00 PMlol i went to lake meridian yesterday morning. the SO didnt get any bites in the 3 hrs we were there using powereggs. But i landed a 22.5" rainbow off the dock, with a kastmaster!!!

1/17/2008 1:01:00 PMwow.congrats! i was trying to cast 200 feet to catch a 13 inch trout and i was sitting on a 2 foot long trout! i never had much luck using lures during winter. maybe i will give them another shot. thanks for the update.
