The SO and I headed out to our local lake, Lake Meridian. Havent been there in a couple of months, due to the slow fishing. But we were encouraged, after reading a report. So we decided to head there on Tues morning.

We got there at about 10AM, stayed til about 1PM.

I was determined to catch something with my new lure rod/reel setup, so that's all that I used throughout the day. I threw almost all my different colored kastmasters, and a couple of rooster tails.

The SO, she stuck with powereggs off the bottom.

Anyways, in the 3 hours we were there, only had 1 bite, and that was on my silver/orange kastmaster. Well, and I landed that fish and it was the biggest fish I have ever caught. Measured out to over 22" inches. Was released safely to catch another day hopefully. Never knew this lake had that big of a fish. Heard rumors and fishermen stories, but you know how those go...

Didnt see any other people fishing, until about 12:30 or so, then Leo showed up. Those that fish Lake Meridian often, should know who he is by now.
