Hit Eloika in the late morning. Last time I was out on the ice I was quite young and alot lighter. After I got out on it and saw about 50 people all standing together I felt alot better. Wasn't sure what size of jig to use. A gentleman happened by and told me what I was using was a little big, and gave me a couple of maggots rather than the worms I was using. Sure enough 5 minutes later I had a nice little Bass, and a keeper Perch. Soon after ,it seemed to slow down. Even the guys across from me that had 40 + perch in their bucket had a little more trouble getting fish up on the ice. I called it a day, but will be back for sure now that I'm over my ice jitters, and know what to use. Thanks to Jerrys landing, and the guy with the maggots.
