Hello people, went fishing at Klineline today and didn't see any fish activity whatsoever. Then decided to fish Salmon Creek upstream from Klineline. Thought the water was high, it was clear. Two hours later I was drifting a corkie and egg and felt a telltale tapping on my line. For those of us who are steelheaders we know very well what that means. I set the hook, and a beautiful chrome six pound buck steelhead took off, made one jump, then spent the remainder of his fight thrashing on the surface. Landed this beautiful buck and even though it was a hatchery fish I released it, but took some pics (i will try to post them soon). Awesome fight and its good to know that fish are coming back into salmon creek again. Special thanks to fisheries management and the Klineline steelhead release program that makes this all possible. We are taking notice of the fruits of your labors. Tight lines and good fishing!
