Mainly a "systems check" today, just couldn't pass up the beautiful day! Fished Clear Lake for a couple hours using various plastics and techniques but to no avail.... Marked fish in 17-22ft of water by the County Park, tried drop shotting, several carolina-rigged goodies, a texas-rigged worm or two, even tried a single colorado blade spinnerbait pumped up and down off the bottom, but no luck. Water temps ranged from 39 to 42 degrees, and ever since the WDFW killed off all the lily pads last year there has been a very persistent stain to the water....hmm? Hope that clears up soon! Still a great day to be floating, think I'll give it a couple more weeks before re-trying this lake, see if the overnight temperatures warm a bit more, that will help with the water temps.
