This nice weather has definitely affected me way more than the bass!! I couldn't take another 50+ degree day staying on dry land! So, the Wife and I headed up to Whatcom County to poke around a bit. Launched onto Wiser at 10am and fished our way around the East side of the Guide Meridian.....nada. Tried crankin suspending jerk baits slowly along the bottom, tried a few jigs, even a few power worms.... Oh well, at least the Wife got some casting practice in! Water temps were 43-45 degrees, no other angler's around, just a "local" in a kayak who b-lined for us at the launch to inform us about the motor restrictions in effect until March 1st.......I already knew this and explained to him how long I had been fishing this lake. At least he was polite about it, which is all you can ask.
For every one else....just in case kayak man isn't around when you launch at this lake, never fear......there is a big ol' white sign on a pole right at the launch that explains the rules very clearly, you just need to know how to read!:)
