We got up to the lake to do some night fishing and we got skunked. The only relatively good bite came on an Arbogast hula popper, but the fish was lost all evening we were getting some small bites but nothing stayed on. I think a panfisherman would do quite well for himself in this lake, at nigh the hand sized panfish are suspended right below the surface. They have overrun this lake the pan fish that is. and the crappie pop. has dropped significantly so if you catch a bluegill or pumpkinseed that is even remotely worth keeping, please take it they are good eating but don't give the bass much food because of their spines and when bass try to eat them the panfish sometimes lodge themselves into the basses mouth and the bass eventually dies. The panfish are perfect for the kids they are quite scrapy fighters even when they are only 3 inches long. Those little panfish will eat anything to my father was letting a jitterbug sit on the surface when it suddenly went under, and we thought he had caught a bass while in fact it was only a bluegill smaller then than the lure.
