What a fine day THIS was to celebrate the first day of fishing this year for the BBs of BL!

We arrived (late, for us) at mid-morning, and saw that the lake level WAS as high as we had been told.
The lake surface was smooth, with just a little chop from the breezes coming in from the SE. A little sun added to near-perfect conditions for us to enjoy a day on the water.

The boat launched well, and with only 2 tugs on the motor starter--- we were off!

We did most of our fishing trolling the east side of the lake, catching but 3 fish: 2 brown trout and a feisty rainbow trout.
There were indications of PLENTY of fish in the lake--- we just had to catch them with methods other than trolling.

As we returned to the boat launch area in the late afternoon, a cold breeze blew in from the south, but even it did not detract from a good day of fishing and camaraderie.
