Great day on the water! Constantly caught fish. Cutthroats all day long. Arrived at about noon because of a late night. Hiked in from Chuckanut drive with my float tube and waders. Used a black rooster tail 1/4oz and 1/8 oz only. Didn't see any reason to change.

Cast lure toward shore near low hanging brush and slow retrieve. Fish hit very soft. Than hooked em'. Probably caught around 20 fish. I wanted to report forty but that seemed a little much.

The water was calm all day. The weather was overcast with a few sprinkles later in the day.

Fish ranged from 8 - 12 inches. Very pretty, healthy cutthroats. I kept two fish because somehow I gutted one with my lure so kept it, and then decided I would keep one more so I would at least have a small meal. I kept a 10in. and 12in. fish.

There were several people fishing from shore. Around 4 people throughout the day. Then when I was packing up a raft got on the lake. I would recommend bringing some type of flotation device. I caught so many fish, it was awesome.

Trolling didn't work very well. I would recommend casting into shore, and then moving to a new spot every fish caught.
