Got to the Lacamas Park dock about 1230pm with my grandson. Used both power eggs and a couple of forms of power bait on #14 hooks with water filled bobbers. Grandson shortly landed a nice 11" rainbow and me another. Lost a couple of fish then caught one more all in the space of about a half hour. Then it went dead and we left about 2pm. My guess is that the fish are in schools.
Watch it when you use the very light leaders. Sometimes they get stretched and then tend to wind about the bobber and main line. We are using the bobber as a slide sinker with a very small clip swivel to attach the leaders. This simple rig with the floating power bait lessens the drag on the hook and the chances of snagging debris on the bottom.
These fish all seemed to be well fed. Cooked up nice!
