Me and the wife went out today and within the first 20minutes we both had one in the net. We fished from 6am till 2pm with all the action taking place in the first 2-3 hours. I landed 6 she landed 2. Of my six one of them was a 20"+ rainbow all the others including the wife's were browns 14"-18" . All of them put back in the lake for another day of good fishing. I was using a rapala crawdad looking broke back that goes to a depth of about 3'. The wife was using a rapala surface blue and white broke back. She would have had a few more fish in the boat but she was trying to get them in the boat bass style (no net). I hope the guy that was at the boat launch before me had a good day after he got all the water out of his boat and the plug in.

Ouch! Been there, done that! On the boat plug thing I mean! lol Hey that's a real beauty of a fish, congrats! I'm not familiar with Rock Lake, can a guy put a small cartop boat in there and do ok?

Ya, done the boat plug thing myself once, but only once.
Yes, a cartop boat will work, but your range should be limited. The winds can really kick up, and I have seen boats that have struggled.
Kuttkilla, what was the water color like? Has the mud made it down to the lower reaches yet?
