Fished Duck Lake for the 2nd time this year. The crappie fishing was pretty slow. We only caught 4 in 2 hours. I hooked a large trout at the bridge on the north end of the lake near the park. I was only using 4lb test and it broke off. The fish was somewhere between 3 and 6 pounds I'm guessing. I didn't know they got that big in the lake. When we pulled our boat out a guy just brought his boat in and he landed a trout very similar to the one I lost. It was a very large fish. I'm guessing about 4 to 6lbs. They crappie were holding between 18 and 22 feet deep. We didn't find any fish in water less than 20 feet except the large trout. The water temp was 49 degrees. Things should start heating up in a few weeks.
