A couple of buddies and myself met at Bitter Lake for the late afternoon bite (which didn't exist). The weather was partly sunny with a pretty brisk wind blowing couldn't of been more than 44 degrees, walked out passed the baseball field to the SW and fished just before the trees started, had our lines in around 5pm. No luck between the three of us though someone did catch a trout fishing off the bottom with power bait from shore. We used a combo of techniques, worm with marsh mellow and a slip sinker, power bait on 5+ foot leader w/bobber ect.. not even a bite. the trout where surfacing around 6 but were not taking the bait from us or anyone at that point. Pulled out around 7 still had a good time it's never a bad day when your fishing with your friends.
