Alert….Alert….Beaver is HOTTTTT! Well it is for me….he he…
Ok check it out…..Decided to go to Beaver today, sorry for telling you so late Fishing Machine, My buddy was gonna meet me when he got off of work @ 4, but that wasn’t gonna to be enough fishing for me so I showed up around 2:30. My wife decided that I needed to take my 3 yr old again….so I figured what the heck, he was good luck last time, just needed to load up on snacks!

I was kinda concerned because I lost my trout colored needle fish last time out, and it got most of the strikes. But I still have plenty of Hot Shots! (That’s all the tips I’m giving away) So I proceeded to troll and I was on the water for about 15 minutes and what do you know? Wham! This thing slammed my rod and I knew she was a biggun from the get go! I was wearing my new shades so I could see right through the water…she was about 15 yards away when I caught my first glimpse and I thought for sure it was a Large Mouth….no way this is a trout! Then I got her within 10 ft. and saw that color and I started shakin’…as I screamed at my 3 yr old to hand me the net, he was to busy devouring a fruit roll up. The freakin’ net was under my bag and tackle box! I finally got the net, tried to land this monster and as soon as she felt the net she straightened up stiff as a board and flopped off! Note to self: get a bigger net.

So I went for a second time, and the same thing! By now I’m praying, because there’s no way anybody is gonna believe me if I don’t land this thing. So I got my composure and realized I was gonna have here swim in nose first if I’m gonna get her in the boat. Sure enough one run later and I had her. I let out a loud WOOO! Biggest Trout I’ve ever caught! Just look at the pic! A freakin football…..I’ve seen the pics of the tripps they put in here but dang, I thought they’d be all fished out! The second fish came maybe 5 minutes later, I think it was her boyfriend, he just couldn’t live without her……both of these fish were in 10 ft of water( ok seriously, no more clues, don’t ask).

Pretty hard to top that first 20 minutes on the water. Caught another fish about 30 minutes later, about 8 inches, looked like a guppy compared to the other 2! It shook the hook at the boat. About 20 minutes later my son needed to relieve himself, and he couldn’t make it to shore, so he hung it over the boat, and wouldn’t you know it….fish on! I couldn’t grab the pole because I was holding on to him…the fish jumped and shook the hook…dick nites….looked like a decent fish…but oh well. Our work was done. No more fish, my buddy was late getting there, we left as rain and hail hit us. As we were leaving a couple of gentlemen were pullin out, the informed me that they had been there since 10AM without a single bite, I felt bad so I told them exactly what I was using and where the bigguns were caught, but this site is full of professionals, ya’ll don’t need my help!

Wow!! Easy big fella.... LOL, that's all cool.
That is an awsome story of a day on the water. Days like that, us people who have the fishing disease re-live many times. Glad to see you got to spend that time with your kid, shortly maybe he will get the fishing bug and be bugging you one day to get. out.
