Influenced by the first sunny day in a while and a plant report from the WDFW of 6,045 ¼ lb RB planted on March 25th, I headed out to Lake Cassidy at around noon. The water was calm and there were 3 other boats on the lake and two folks fishing from the “launch.” On the water I discovered the fuse on my fish finder hot wire was toast so I was electronically challenged having no water temp or the ability to mark fish although I’d venture to say they were likely scattered all over the lake. I trolled several different small lures in several different colors, with and without a small flasher, and not one strike in 2 hours. My guess is the water is still too cold. I rated the trip a 2 because fishing was poor. Everything else was great. This isn’t my favorite lake but it was open and had received a good number of trout so I thought they would be biting. I was wrong.
