4/8/2008 7:21:00 PMAs for the fishing, I've fished Rock from both shore and boat and can tell you there's no comparison. For whatever reason you need to cover a lot of ground when fishing this lake as, generally speaking, if the fish are there they will bite. Are you fishing from shore because you lack a boat or just prefer it?
I'm in the process of restoring an old Skeeter bass boat and will likely need a fishing partner when I'm done (my wife worries if I go out alone). Can't say when the project will be done but if you want me to give you a holler when I start taking her out I can certainly do so. I live in Spokane and plan on hitting up both Rock and Long once I've got everything fixed up.

4/9/2008 12:46:00 AMOyeah, how was the water clearity in the lake. Some times near shore it gets a bit muddy and stays clear out futher and sometimes this time of year the hole thing can get a bit muddy.

4/9/2008 8:58:00 AMYes Perry, I would be interested in joining you on a boat trip; thank you for the invite. At present, I am "boat-less". I live in Rockford and fish on M/T; due to my work schedule.
I did catch a 17" rainbow last week at Rock Lake from shore and I have had some good days on both browns and rainbows casting small plugs and spinners from shore. A lot of the shore fishing is a SNAGFEST; if you try sliding sinker baitfishing and for some reason, lures seem to work better.
